1. heterogeneous - society is composed of diff people or cultures.
2. immigrant - LEGAL alien from a diff country.
3. reservation - public land given to the Native Americans by the U.S government.   It was land that know body wanted.
4. refuge - go to a  new land seeking protection.
5. assimilation - adapting to the majorities culture.
