NOTES

U.S districts courts are the federal trial courts 677 judges handle more than 350,000 cases per year.

FISA - (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court) (7 year terms).

district courts do not hear cases within original jurisdiction of the supreme court.

the meeting will start there and end there.

each court has 6-28 judges

9 judges - chief justice appointed by the president and senate
